Historic Piatigorsky Concert CD

A historic concert honoring Gregor Piatigorsky was recorded on August 25, 2002 at the Essex County Courthouse, Elizabethtown, New York.

The concert recreated the program that Piatigorsky performed in August 1942 on the day following his swearing in as an American citizen. It also includes four solo compositions by Gregor Piatigorsky.

Performed by cellist Terry King and pianist Doris Stevenson, both students of Gregor Piatigorsky, this concert, which was featured on North Country Public Radio, was recorded by Sound of the Turtle Studios.
